Rob Gronkowski Can (and Probably Will) Kick Logan Paul’s Ass
The Fight We All Want (And Logan will most likely back out of)
Logan Paul says he could beat any NFL player in a boxing match. Then backed out when Le’Veon Bell accepted the challenge.
Rob Gronkowski heard that and responded: “Cool. I’ll fight you at a flag football game.”
This whole thing started when some guy named Tom Brady appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast and said WWE is “cute,” but football is real competition.
Which…yeah.
WWE is entertainment. I’ll watch clips of it on the internet sometimes. But it’s not a real competition any more than Batman vs Superman.
Logan Paul responded on a different podcast (conveniently when Tom Brady wasn’t sitting across from him) saying he would fight any NFL player for $1 million.
“It could be any name. Any football player. Myles Garrett, Puka Nacua, Tom Brady, Rob (Gronkowski), Sam Darnold. $1M, come to the gym, put on boxing gloves, and let’s see how it goes. I will throw hands.”
Former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell accepted the challenge and a fight was reportedly scheduled.
Then Logan Paul suddenly posted a video of his agent telling him the fight couldn’t happen because it would violate his WWE contract due to the risk of injury.
Which Rob Gronkowski called exactly what it looks like.
Bullshit.
“I just feel like he backed out and that was just his excuse,” Gronk said. “He should have came out and said ‘I don’t want to do it.’ But instead he had back up and then he puts the call online as well. That is the biggest bullshit of all time.”
Gronkowski also added that if Logan Paul really wants to fight him, they’ll both be at the Fanatics Flag Football Tournament on March 21st.
“If Logan Paul wants a piece of me… I’m down to throw on the field, and even throw my fists, go all out brawl on the flag football field. I will fight him on the field if he wants to fight me.”
Now let’s break this down.
First of all, Tom Brady is right.
WWE is scripted entertainment, but it’s not a real sport.
Second, Gronk is right.
That phone call Logan Paul posted online looked staged for three reasons:
1. Paul is not a good actor. His reaction to the news that he couldn’t fight Bell feels as scripted as WWE acting.
2. Who records every phone call with their agent?
3. Paul isn’t allowed to box, but he is allowed to participate in the Fanatics Flag Football tournament later this month?
Sure.
And third — most importantly — Rob Gronkowski would beat the blonde out of Logan Paul.
Gronk is 6’6”, 265 pounds and spent a decade blocking defensive ends that look like refrigerators with legs.
Logan Paul’s boxing record is 0-1-1.
Jake Paul (Logan’s brother who boxes amateur and retired fighters) might be able to out-box some NFL players because he actually trains as a fighter.
Logan Paul?
Different story. He trains as an entertainer.
While WWE might not want Logan Paul getting punched in the face by NFL players, Fanatics has to be secretly praying Gronk tackles him on live television.
Because if Gronk and Logan Paul start throwing punches during a flag football game, imagine the clicks and retweets.
