Brandon Aiyuk Mocks Kyle Shanahan Accident
Former NFL Wide Receiver, who thinks he’s still in the league, but isn’t, continues mocking his former organization.
There’s a lot being made of the car accident Kyle Shanahan was involved in earlier this month. And while much of the criticism has been pointed toward the coverage, and the police’s response, Aiyuk’s criticism appears to be aimed at his former head coach.
On Tuesday, a few hours after Shanahan admitted to reporters that the July 14th car accident that landed him in a hospital bed was his fault, Brandon Aiyuk posted to his Instagram Story.
Aiyuk’s posts read “You can’t win the race if you crash out” and “Keep yo head up and stay in yo own lane. You gone win.”
On the one hand, Aiyuk’s posts are wildly insensitive. On the other hand, yeah - Shanahan should have kept his head up and stayed in his own lane, instead of attempting to retrieve his dropped cell phone, resulting in him crashing into a 21-year-old driving in the opposing lane.
Earlier this offseason, Aiyuk posted to YouTube that Shanahan “got the temper of a fucking toddler.”
Aiyuk’s social media hasn’t done anything to help his cause to return to the NFL. He’s technically no longer in the NFL, and hasn’t taken any meaningful steps toward returning.
Toward the end of the second season of Justified, Winona pleads with her boyfriend’s boss to help him out of a hairy situation. The Chief Deputy Marshal looks at Winona, sighs and says “sometimes you just can’t help.” That’s kind of what it’s like wanting to help Brandon Aiyuk right now.
